THE OMBUDSMAN SIGNED A MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION WITH THE "HERA" ASSOCIATION - ASSOCIATION FOR HEALTH EDUCATION AND RESEARCH

The Ombudsman, Mr. Naser Ziberi, and the executive director of the "HERA" Association - Association for Health Education and Research, Mrs. Mila Tsarovska, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the aim of developing joint projects. This Memorandum is a continuation of the practice of cooperation that the Institution has with the non-governmental sector, in the direction of improving the protection of citizens' rights. Cooperation will take place through the development of joint projects in several areas with a focus on the rights of women, young people and vulnerable groups of citizens, namely:
Identifying problems and challenges faced by vulnerable and marginalized groups of citizens, including youth, girls, boys, women, persons with disabilities, Roma women, women and children who are victims of violence, girls and women from rural areas, children without parental care and key populations affected by HIV, and contributing to ensuring the protection of their rights and proposing measures to overcome the problems;
Active participation in cooperation with institutes and bodies to improve the state of respect and protection of the rights of vulnerable and marginalized groups of citizens, including young people, girls, boys, women, persons with disabilities, Roma women, women and children who are victims of violence, rural girls and women, children without parental care and key populations affected by HIV;
Analysis, study and monitoring of the regulations and comparative rights arising from the conventions and declarations signed by the state regarding human rights;
Monitoring the implementation of relevant policies related to the promotion of human rights in the fields of health, social protection and education;
Monitoring the state of compliance and enforcing of the rights of women, young people and vulnerable groups of citizens in the country;
Identifying misinformation and harmful narratives related to gender equality spread by anti-gender movements;
Joint activities for the promotion and advancement of human rights in the fields of health, social protection, education and
Other issues related to the rights of women, youth and vulnerable groups of citizens in the country.
