NASER ZIBERI
Born in 1961 in the village of Laskarci-Skopje
In 1980 he completed secondary education at the "Zef Ljuš Marku" High School in Skopje;
In 1985 he graduated from the Faculty of Law in Pristina, Republic of Kosovo;
From 1986 to 1990 he worked at the NIP "Nova Makedonija" as a journalist in the editorial office of the daily newspaper "Fljaka e Vlazerimit";
1990 - at the first multi-party elections he was elected as a member of the Parliament of the Republic of North Macedonia. He received his parliamentary mandate at the second parliamentary elections held in 1994, as well as at the third held in 1998;
In the period 1990-1994, he was the President of the Committee on Rules of Procedure and Mandate-Immunity Issues, as well as a member of the Committee on Constitutional Issues. During the same period, he was a member of the Delegation of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly;
In the period 1996 - 1998, he served as Minister of Labor and Social Policy and Vice President of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia;
In this capacity, he actively cooperates with the civil sector, non-governmental and trade union organizations, the Chamber of Commerce, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. During his mandate, major reforms were made in the field of labor law, social protection, child rights, and family protection, as well as reforms in the field of pension and disability insurance, protection of the rights of workers, vulnerable categories - social groups and people with special needs. For his work, he has received numerous recognitions, letters of appreciation and diplomas from non-governmental organizations, the Red Cross and other relevant entities;
During this period, he participated in many domestic and international conferences, trainings, seminars, workshops and forums in the field of protection of human freedoms and rights;
In the period 1998 to 2002, he was the coordinator of the parliamentary group of the Party for Democratic Prosperity, a member of the Legislative and Legal Committee and a member of the Committee for Constitutional Issues;
In 2001, he was a member of the expert group for the preparation of the Ohrid Framework Agreement and the amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of North Macedonia proposed by the parliamentary group of the Party for Democratic Prosperity;
He was a member of the State Commission for Electoral Lists in the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, a member of the Coordinating Body of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia for Dealing with the Crisis in 2001, as well as a member of the Legal Council of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia;
In 2004, he was elected as a notary for the area of the Basic Courts of the city of Skopje;
On 25.01.2021, he was elected as the Ombudsman.
