ILBER RUFATI

Born 1976 in Kicevo.
1995 - he completed secondary education at the "Mirko Mileski" High School - Kichevo;
1997-2001 studied at the Law Faculty "Justijan the First" in Skopje, and finished at the "International University in Struga" in 2009;
1998-2002 Worked as a Project Assistant in the Association for Democratic Initiatives (ADI) project, "Increasing knowledge about the standards for minority rights", and represented the ADI organization in international organizations in the country and abroad;
2000 - was Member of the "Street Law" Council of the Faculty of Law, "Justijan Prvi" in Skopje;
2001-2003 - was Member of the Council and Coordinator at the Nansen Dialogue Center-NDC for the promotion of new leaders in the Balkans and the World;
2001-2003 was President of the PDP Youth in the Republic of North Macedonia and Vice President of the PDP from 2002-2003;
2002-2003 was Member of the "Mac Action Volunteer-CSHI-USAID-Skopje" project;
2003-2004 - was observer for the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights for the Kichevo and Gostivar courts;;
2004-2006 was an employee of United Nations-UNDP-Skopje "Economic Recovery and Development through the establishment of a municipal fund for economic development"-Funded by the Government of Norway and OSCE;
2004- was Interpreter for the local elections for ODHIR-OSCE as well as for the 2005 Presidential elections;
2006-2009 President of the non-governmental organization CEDKIR - for the project "Regional Economic Development" financed by UNDP-Skopje;
2010-2015 He was employed by the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia for the implementation of the Ohrid Agreement as a junior associate in the Office for Public Revenues-Tetovo, General and Common Affairs-IRS-Kicevo;
2011 he completed judicial studies and a master's degree in Legal Sciences on the topic "Employment Discrimination in the Republic of North Macedonia - Ethnicity and Religion as a Basis for Employment Discrimination";
2015 - 2019 - He is employed in the Ministry of Finance - Public Revenue Administration - Tetovo assigned to the enforcement sector of the IRS - Kicevo. He cooperated and was a member of many international non-governmental organizations from the country and abroad such as NDC, NDI, IRI, USAID, ADI and has attended seminars and international conferences in the country and abroad - Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo and Albania;
22.12.2019 - was elected deputy ombudsman.
