In organization of the Ombudsman Office, the OSCE Spillover Mission to Skopje and the Swedish International Development Agency – SIDA on 29 – 31 January in the hotel Arka in Skopje three Informative Seminars for the sate administration were held on which among the other was presented the Research on Awareness of the Ombudsman Competences and Mandate by the Employee in the State Administration made by the Company for Consulting and Services BSC ESTEK.
“The need for organizing of this type of informative seminars was detected by simple reason that efficient function of the Ombudsman Office can’t be imagined without quality cooperation with the organs of state administrations. Because of that it was assessed that for achieving of higher level of cooperation there is a need for more often common work with state administration with aim for establishing of main reasons for absence of cooperation in some cases” said in his statement the Ombudsman Mr. Ixhet Memeti.
“The OSCE Mission considers that cooperation between the Ombudsman and the state administration will have positive impact on realization and protection of civil rights. The seminars which will hold in next three days should strengthen that cooperation” said in the opening remarks Mr. Donald Bison, chief of the OSCE Department of the Rule of Law.
On the seminars was concluded that the organs of the state administration are cooperating with the Ombudsman but the cooperation need further promotion with aim for increasing of the level of realization of citizens rights. Among suggestions how cooperation could be improved was stressed that the Ombudsman at least twice a year should meet ministers who lead Ministries on which are detected weaknesses in cooperation.
