THIRD YEAR STUDENTS FROM THE PRIVATE SECONDARY SCHOOL “YAHYA KEMAL” - SKOPJE ATTENDED A LECTURE IN THE OFFICE OF THE OMBUDSMAN

Third year students from the private secondary school “Yahya Kemal” - Skopje attended a lecture in the Ombudsman’s Office within the curriculum of the subject Introduction to law.

During the visit, the Ombudsman Mr. Ixhet Memeti acquainted the students with the position of the institution, its competencies and the manner of handling complaints. He spoke about the new amendments to the Law on the Ombudsman and the new manner of implementation of his general recommendations, the adoption of measures by the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia and the Government's obligation to inform the Assembly about the implementation of the recommendations every six months.

The students were interested in the work of the institution in the area of protection of the rights of the persons deprived of their liberty.
